There is no easy way to manually delete files from that directory. TLDR: Microsoft Store Games when you select uninstall, it might not actually delete the game, just move the game files to a hidden/protected WindowsApps\Deleted directory. Will Windows eventually delete this 40 GB or will it never be reclaimed unless I download some 3rd party app to somehow override Windows and allow me to delete it? What program should I download to do this? Even after editing my permissions, I still can't seem to delete anything from WindowsApps or the WindowsApps\Deleted directory. grakoko Created on OctoUninstalling games Xbox Game Pass PC Hello community, I tell you that I have uninstalled games due to lack of space and they still occupy place in my nvme m.2. After reboot, the games were then moved to Program Files\WindowsApps\Deleted. Instead, the games were initially in the Program Files\WindowsApps directory which I had to edit my permissions under Security to even access the directory. I did so and the space was not reclaimed on my SSD, which is around 40 GB for SoT and ReCore. Should be easy, right? Just uninstall the Apps/games by right clicking them. So I decided not to renew Game Pass after my 2 months for $2 and I wanted to reclaim the disk space for my SSD that is only 500GB.
